Hadrian's Wall Hike
Built in 122AD, Hadrian’s Wall was built to defend against the north….but now it’s your time to conquer it by signing up to our challenge hike.

Charity Walk Course
Hadrian's Wall is a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site; you'll be walking across some of the wildest and most dramatic countryside. With the option of two distances the testing day walks are challenging but worth every step for the breath-taking panoramic views and sense of achievement.
For 2019 we have edited the classic 9-mile route and extended the event to also include an 18-mile option. Both challenges will start at the Housesteads Visitors Centre, passing Roman settlements and forts before arriving at the finish line.
The Hadrian’s Wall Path is an 84 mile (135 Km) long National Trail stretching coast to coast across northern England, from Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne in the east to Bowness-on-Solway on the west coast. It is one of the 15 National Trails in England and Wales and is the only coast-to-coast Trail to follow a World Heritage Site, itself a protected landscape. No other heritage access site in Canada, Europe and possibly beyond provides access to such an extensive array of archaeological remains.
Dogs are permitted on the hike but must be kept on a lead at all times and rules of the countryside code must be followed.
Event Location: The Garth, Lannercost, CA8 2HQ
